Dear Ed:

65 Hatteras LRC |
Thanks for all you help in the sale of our 65' Hatteras LRC. Your professionalism from start to finish made the process go exceedingly well. I’ve sold and bought a number of boats over the years and working with a dedicated, energetic and knowledgeable broker such as you makes all the difference.
By having you involved to photograph our boat to its best advantage and give me advice as to what would make it more attractive, I’m sure we enhanced the sale to our benefit. I also really appreciated your continuing contacts and updates during the process.
Please feel free to give me as a reference to anyone considering listing their boat through you. Thanks again.
Very truly yours,
Donald H.

Dear Ed,

57 Ocean Odyssey |
Just wanted to express a huge "Thank You" for your assistance in my purchasing of the 2004, 57 Ocean Odyssey. Throughout the whole time you displayed exemplary control, integrity and patience, despite the fact we hand many situations that we could have had an issue that may have meant losing the deal.
I think what impresses me most was that I had selected you to be my broker because of your vast knowledge of the West Bay line, that we had drawn on before with my father's boat, but when we shifted gears to the Ocean yacht how quickly you accommodated any information that were needed for these yachts as well! I truly enjoyed working with you, you are a man of your word, always on time and more than willing to go the extra mile to make sure your clients interest is looked after, as were displayed due to the fact that many times I was not even in the same country.
Surpassing all this said, I appreciated your honesty and your opinions as I felt they were totally heartfelt, and at the end of the exercise I think I have a fantastic yachts, and another friend for life.
Many thanks again Ed!
Sincerely,
William C.

Dear Ed,
I want to thank you for your patience, guidance, and wide industry knowledge in helping me to first narrow the search and then find the right boat from within the category that best met my needs. We spent a lot of time seeing boats and discussing criteria before we were able to narrow the search down to 3 boat builders, and eventually deciding that the Sessa Yacht built in Italy was the best fit.
Your knowledge of other ancillary vendors who proved helpful in commissioning, insuring, closing, surveying, outfitting and delivering the new yacht was appreciated. I understand why I was referred to you by my friend and another of your clients.
If I need to buy or sell a yacht in the future, you will hear from me.
Please feel free to use this letter to promote your services as a yacht broker and feel confident to use me as a referral to others who may be looking to buy or sell a quality yacht.
Best wishes,
Ken K.

I first met ED Chapdelaine at a boat show a couple of years ago. We talked at length about boats , life , etc. and I walked away thinking that guy was very knowledgeable about boats , intense in a nice way but above all a good salesman. We keep in touch , mostly from his input ( showing his follow-up and persistent sales background ) and I began to think about changing boats.
Ed and I discussed marketing the boat and we proceeded to list it. This is where Ed demonstrated his sales knowledge as he took the best pictures, in the best settings and followed up with a great write-up keying in on the attributes we identified in our marketing discussion. This boat was not an easy sell as it appealed to a limited audience and one which was not the easiest to deal with. HE was diligent and we sold it as we priced it correctly.
I would recommend Ed as a broker to anyone looking to sell a boat.

Ed,
Thanks for your help in working thru an arduous process to get to the finish line. I think we got the right boat for my needs.

Dear Ed,
Barbara and I want to thank you for the excellent job you did for us in finding the right buyer for our 55 foot Tollycraft, "Chablis".
While it did take almost two years to sell Chablis, we do understand that during this time that hardly any yachts were selling due to the disappointing economy. Somehow, you managed to keep prospective buyers coming to view our boat. We know that you had to make several trips up to Indian Harbour Beach and we also know that if we had followed your advice and brought Chablis to Fort Lauderdale that she might have sold sooner.
Please feel free to use our name anytime as a reference of your good services. When we first met you several years ago, as you were walking along the docks of Johnathan's Landing in Jupiter, you took the time to answer our questions about selling our boat. We are happy that we kept your card and ended up with a successful sale. Thanks again!
Fond regards,
Dave B.

To Whom It May Concern,
I have purchased and sold a dozen boats and yachts, between 30' and 65', both power and sail, over the last 40 years. I have dealt with numerous brokers up and down the East Coast. I have used Ed Chapdelaine for the last 3 transactions and I have found him the best.
He has a very thorough knowledge of individual boats, their suitability and the Florida and U.S. markets. He has made excellent references to surveyors, insurance brokers, lenders and document processors. He steered me through a very complex purchase of a Cayman Island registered boat owned by a shell corporation. He has successfully guided me through lengthy and frustrating negotiations with both calm and firm advice.
I highly recommend him to both buyers and sellers.
